This week, I spoke with Michelle Jones, a long-time contributing member of the Community Lunch Box Society. We covered the various challenges, and successes the CLB faces, and her thoughts in general about what this positive initiative means to her.

Running a not-for-profit organization is a tremendous undertaking that takes a team of dedicated individuals to oversee the organization’s continued success.

This week, I sat down with Shannon Konsmo to discuss her role within the Community Lunch Box Society. Her role is a pivotal one.

The partnership with the Community Lunch Box Program and the Whitecourt Social Experience Club is platonic in nature and is a unique one. The Whitecourt Social Experience Club, like the Community Lunch Box, is a non-profit organization. The club’s main mandate is to provide adults with learning barriers a way to engage each other and members in the community in a proactive, inclusive, social way.

Every year the Community Lunch Box Program hosts a Celebration Night in recognition of our volunteers and the programs continuing success. This year the Dueling Pianos are back Saturday March 4th for another round of rambunctious entertainment, a night that would not be possible without the sponsorships of many community partners.
