The goal of the Cooking Club is teach students healthy cooking skills that will increase their confidence in the kitchen and allow thm to learn how to work cooperatively and safely in an alternative environment. It will engage the students in a way that fosters healthy relationships with their peers and educates them on how the decisions they make today affect their future health both physically and mentally.
Nutrition not only plays a huge part in physical health but hit also impacts the way we feel. What you eat can affect how you feel, and how you feel can affect your food choices. This is sometimes call the "food-mood" connection and it plays a big part in social relationships with students.
